Throughout 2014 I took part in the #52LittleThings challenge with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle, one week at a time to become a healthier and happier person, and initially I was concerned that I would never stick to a whole year of challenges and changes … However here I am on week 1 of 2015 and I have to say I am feeling a little sad about the fact the challenges have finished.
I was wrong
Through all 52 of the changes there were some that were harder than others, like week 39’s – Establishing a work life balance .. I am still working on that one but hopeful that this year I will crack it!!
Along with week 17’s – Make Time for Breakfast still alludes me .. although not that I don’t have time, since I work from home but more that I struggle with wanting to eat in a morning…. again this is one that I am intending to rectify this year .. maybe with having smaller lighter breakfast options?
The challenge I have most enjoyed recently has been week 31’s – Explore the great outdoors, really has been a something we should all do. I had become complacent and stagnated so its nice to make more of an effort to get out and discover what we have on our doorstep .. hence the new discovering what is on our doorstep series of blog posts I will be writing in 2015.
However the one that I am really going to tackle this year and keep trying with is week 9’s – Get Better Sleep! .. I am going to get to the bottom of that one full stop! with limited sleep I am at times finding it difficult to concentrate, focus and I am very irritable so here is hoping that this year I get into a better sleep routine.
So although my Challenges are over with AXA PPP healthcare I am intending to keep trying to make small changes both with those I undertook in 2014 and I am going to continue to make new changes in the next 12 months too … like increasing family time, lose weight, read more books and try a new sport!
What I will be doing this year is encouraging all of us to be more physically active and so will also be restarting my Active Family Linky back up to share our tales of being more active.
Are you planning on making small changes this year too?
