If you are popping by for the first time I have been taking part in weekly challenges with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle one week at a time to become healthier and happier.
This week it’s all about making some waves and/or pedal power! So swimming or biking this week it’s about getting the kids out and about!
For us this simply could not have come at a better time. Swimming we have planned for next week on Daddy’s day off but this week we are awaiting a very special package to arrive ….. Joshua’s new balance bike!
Yep having discovered the joy of bike riding last year when we hired some bike we then went out and bought new bikes all round. When we bought them Joshua was on the small side and ended up with a bike seat on the back of our bikes as he was way too little to have ago himself, especially if actually intended to get somewhere.
So this week we are hoping Joshua’s new balance bike delivery will be with us and with one overly excited toddler it is imperative to get the critter out in the fresh air and start him on his cycling journey!
Living where we do, we have some amazingly beautiful locations we can go on our bikes so with Ollie (hubster) out of action with some back issues I am planning a ride with just me and the kids soon .. I am even brave enough nowadays fit the bike rack and put the bikes back the back of my car! .. the first time last year I shook all the way home .. so now the world is my lobster and we can go anywhere!
I have to say I am rather looking forward to not having him on the back of my bike .. the extra weight on the back is super hard work and lets face it I carry enough of my own weight …
If you have Children, will there be any biking or swimming in your house this holidays?
