I am taking part in the #52LittleThings challenge with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle, one week at a time to become a healthier and happier person.
This week it’s all about replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and this is perfect for me as I am notoriously bad whittler and I tend to let it all get on top of me so it was great to read that I am not alone in the article called Lift Your Mood This Autumn …. Also I am loving some of the hints in it to .. that being so I have spent the weekend cleaning out some of the cupboards, especially my wardrobe!
Since I know this is something I struggle with feeling sad in the autumn and winter months, I have been trying to stick to things in my life that will help keep me positive and get rid of the negative and here are my top 5 suggestions:
Set things to enjoy in your timetable – If your whole day is packed with pressures and hard work there is nothing to look forward too. Set a treat into the day/week that way you will always be looking forward to the positive!
Tackle small chunks at a time – No matter what you are doing by taking things a small bit at a time can relieve some pressure! … for me I like tick lists too, nothing nicer than ticking things off a list to keep things positive.
Make changes to spend more time with positive people! – Over recent months I have actively sought out positive people. Negative people breed negativity!
Fresh air and exercise are your friend – Getting out in the fresh air can have a really positive effect and blowing the cobwebs aways can also take the negativity with you! Add exercise and those happy endorphins are going to love you!
Do you struggle to swap the negative for positives?
