If you have missed my #52LittleThings posts so far – I am taking part in weekly challenges with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle one week at a time to become healthier and happier!
This week it’s all about making and listening to a music playlist that make you feel happy.
So why should we all be listening to music that makes us feel happy?
By putting together a playlist of your favorite songs they tend to want to make you get up and boogie along with those slow numbers that make you stop and listen, these can all benefit in making you happy .. and healthy!
You don’t have to take it from me it seems there is a real medical reason for why it’s good to listen to music … apparently when listening to a happy song it triggers dopamine (happy chemical) in the brain .. see so you don’t have to take it just on my say so!! .. its true music makes you happy!
Upbeat songs that you just can’t help singing and dancing too are all great to up your heart rate and to get you wanting to move more … essentially exercising your dancing skills and your heart!
Then for those slow numbers they will help make you breathes regular and deep and will help you slow things down .. all good for helping with relieving stress and anxiety for those that are suffering!
Having said that I am now in the process of updating my feel good mix (although not the tape version of my childhood) but my ipod, phone and ipad with some fresher new tunes to keep me bopping and
screeching singing and maybe non of those things with my new exercise timetable .. it could be a little embarrassing.
Ok so I am never going to have the best singing voice nor a dancer’s body but it’s still great fun in my book!
