I am taking part in the #52LittleThings challenge with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle, one week at a time to become a healthier and happier person.
This weeks challenge I have to say made me laugh out loud!
If you know us on a personal level you will be more than aware of my ongoing back issues and Ollie (hubster) has ruptured discs in his spine that he is off to Hospital on Wednesday to have a pain killing injection in his spine …. So in fact we are the guys that should have taken care of our spines sooner!! …. OK lesson learnt albeit painfully but for at least me I have made a tentative step to making changes.
I have moved back to my desk to work most of my hours, for me working from home meant sitting on the sofa and that s really been no good for my back, so during working hours I am back at my desk!
Although I know being behind a desk in itself can be bad for my back so I need to make sure that while at my desk I need to make sure that I am taking regular breaks stretch regularly too.
Also just before the Children broke up from school for the Summer I had started some Yoga and Pilates classes that I was really enjoying, during the holidays the time was just not there to get to classes in the day so again this went out the window…. but they are going to come back in and help me curb my shocking posture!
Getting back on my weight loss journey is also going to be a massive factor me for. So I need to shift some of this lard from my 5 foot frame as this more pressure my back is under daily.
For me anything that helps me address my posture and to help me look after my back it has to be a bonus in my book, if you’re looking for some further information on why you should look after your back and how you can find it HERE.
