I am taking part in the #52LittleThings challenge with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle, one week at a time to become a healthier and happier person.
This week is about getting winter fit, and I am not talking about full on epic weight training or even running a marathon.
Lets face it winter can be somewhat depressing, the dark nights, the wetness and cold … so we need to try to keep ourselves healthy and happy through the winter months and here are some ideas on how to keep yourself winter fit:
Exercise – Go for a swim, a walk or even something more strenuous if you are fit enough! .. during the winter we tend to baton down the hatches and hibernate but we need to remember to still keep moving
Sleep – The longer nights can help remind you to get some shut-eye earlier! .. I for one am making more of an effort to get into a better sleep routine.
Eat lots of seasonal veg – getting lots of really nutritious veg will help keep you healthy through the winter it will help with keeping your mood up and skin and hair nice and healthy too. … if you’re struggling think soup!
Organise some family time – The TV is our friend in the winter, we tend to get sucked into watching the box, so why not play some family games instead!
