I am taking part in the #52LittleThings challenge with AXA PPP healthcare to make small changes in my lifestyle, one week at a time to become a healthier and happier person.
This week it’s about taking some time out for you and in fairness this couldn’t have come at a better time for me.
With some family issue last week resulting in me being stressed to the limit and my festive spirits well and truly gone I have to say I feel I am getting depressed with it all now and can’t wait for it to be over …
So to try to get my festive cheer back I am taking some out this week to catch up on some ‘me time’ no present buying, food shopping or even anything festive. I am going to make the most of this coming week and will be regaining some me time:
Getting some sleep! – I have been running on empty for a few weeks trying to get caught up with work and this is seriously not helping with my stress levels
Some time with friends – I am very lucky and have a some really motivating friends that are really fantastic to spend time with and with no pressure of when or where meeting up tends to be relaxed and stress free so that is must this week!
Delegate – Something that I had not thought of before but it seems I carry the lions share working from home and don’t tend to mind normally but with lots of extra stuff going on I need to delegate some of the work .. for example my teen could do more!
A soak in the tub – I used to love baths but over the last year a daily shower have been all I have managed .. I miss luxuriating in the hot suds so this week I am planning to take over my bathroom for an hour … or 2 and who knows maybe take a book in!
So there you have it my self rescue plan for this week!
Are you wrung out with all the festivities already? or are taking care of you too?
