This festive season not only do I work from home on my own but also I am 7 months pregnant so I have escaped the ‘Christmas party’ season and I have to say I am rather glad!
However for many many years I was not so lucky and when the Christmas season rolled round and the mention of the works Christmas party was brought up I inwardly cringed. Don’t get me wrong I used to love going out and socialising with my friends, but there is something about the office party that tends to make folks go slightly nuts.
From free bars to being forced into socialising with some people that perhaps they have spent all year avoiding as no one wants to be ‘best friends’ with every single member of staff that they work with … however add in alcohol and it would be fair to say I have witnessed some rather explosive works Christmas parties in my time and had to deal with the subsequent months of aggravation that it brought back into work the following months after.
So here are 8 things NOT to do at the Christmas Party Provided by Jobs Today
I am sending festive cheer to all my readers this Christmas season but I am also sending safe and calm vibes that if you are attending a festive gathering for work this year you will be taking heed of the infographic above as I have to be fair and say that it’s a great list of don’t to stick by to avoid the awkwardness and fallings out that a night out with your work colleagues might bring to your next 12 months at work!
And for those that don’t take heed … I am sure you will have fun reliving it on social media soon! (eek)
