My breastfeeding journey has always been a real struggle but during my 3rd pregnancy I discovered that having the right bit of kit helps … Obviously I have breasts … always good for breastfeeding but my problems feeding in the past were exacerbated by my ‘make do’ mindset where nursing bras and clothing were concerned … often meaning that I was wearing awkward or uncomfortable bras and tops, after all balancing a newborn while trying to discreetly slide out a breast is no fun no matter if your out and about or at home.
Thankfully while still pregnant this time round I was asked to review the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra from Bravado and to say I was thrilled with would be an understatement, so on finding out that I could and would breastfeed for longer I decided to give a few of their other products a whirl too.
First up to trial was the Confetti Nursing Bra which comes is 3 fabulous colours (plum with polka dots, black with polka dots and fawn with polka dots) and a reasonable price tag of £26 each.
This bra is of a similar design shape to the Body Silk Seamless bra in that it comes with rouching around the breasts to ensure they are sat in the cups with support and they also come with the full cup drop down and is completely seam and tag free meaning its super kind to delicate boobs!
The difference in this bra is that there is no internal padding or the removable foam cups that are in some bras, but this one is made of super super stretchy fabric and comes with a lovely contrasting bow.
I loved the wide back strap and 3 hook and eye fastenings helped keep everything where it should be and this bra actually comes a little lower on the cleavage so no bra show over lower cut tops.
Since I am used to the foam cups this bra was my all time comfy bra and this the one I have been loving at bedtime, it’s really supportive and sits well all night.
It has been easy to feed while wearing it and with the ribbed under bust band while I have been getting thinner it has adapted well and has not left any gaping.
Thank you Bravado for allowing me to try this design, it’s certainly a must for anyone wanting to purchase a non wired, non padded nursing bra.
