OK I know we have only had a few weeks of sunshine as opposed to the months of glorious sunshine we should have had however when the first few days of sun peeked through it was obvious that having a little baby and trying to keep him covered was going to be hard work.
Social media was awash with scare mongering and statements about not covering his pushchair with anything as it causes overheating inside effectively cooking babies.
I was confused as to what to do, obviously staying in where possible when the sun is at its strongest is ideal but life is not made that way and living in the house for the duration of the summer is not fun either so we were really pleased to hear from SnoozeShade who very kindly offered to show me how easy it was to keep my baby covered and protected and yet not cook him either!
If you haven’t heard of SnoozeShade before then let me introduce you, SnoozeShade was created by a Mum looking to solve a nap time problem and in her journey to solve those on the go nap time issues that very clever Mum designed a safe way to keep babies safe and yet covered in their pushchairs too!
The SnoozeShade original protects baby from 99% of UVA and UVB (UPF50+) rays and so this is the difference to using a muslin or other article to cover the pushchair!
Although I am now on child number 3 I am gutted I have only just discovered SnoozeShade as the sunny days we have had this has certainly made a difference I don’t flinch at the prospect of going out of the day in fear of keeping Jacob in the sun too long and its help no end at keeping to our nap time routine.
The SnoozeShade original has been wonderful to attach to the pushchair with no long straps all the tabs seem to be in the right places even on multiple pushchairs as this one I have used on another pushchair as well as the one in the pictures, and also on a carry cot.
The zip down the front makes it really easy to peek at baby although it’s not really ideal to keep in situ as you can’t see much of baby just using the zip, however they do have an alternative products called SnoozeShade Plus and a SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe both have the option to leave it in place and still offer some protection.
All in all I am thrilled with the SnoozeShade, thank you for taking the stress out the summer.
