Active Family – The Wonder Of Walking

Active Family - The Wonder Of Walking The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseFor us this month being an Active Family has meant rejoicing in the wonder of walking. We have been super fortunate to have lots of time out in the fresh air and have visited some really amazing places.

Early this month we were super fortunate to discover Hatton Country World with their beautiful grounds and amazing falconry displays. We were also lucky to see our blogging friends Afra (Mad Mum of 7) Mary (Over 40 and Mum to One) with their children getting some fresh air and enjoying the location too!

For both Hatton Country World and at Β Hicks Lodge Joshua and I met our blogging chums Erica (32three30) and Katherine (Mummy Pink Wellies) and we trekked 2km round the beautiful lake and even went bug hunting!

We visited Aston Hall in Birmingham to meet the lovely Joy (PinkOddy) and her fantastic boys for a walk round the impressive hall and went for a walk round the beautiful grounds in search of a park.

We have been on so many visits and have done so much walking that I feel that we have probably over the previous few months forgotten how nice walking in fresh air can be and the joy of a toddler who is left to run free in the tress, grass and undergrowth and that precious face covered in mud with the biggest smile. Knowing my child is growing and learning in the fresh air.

So with a renewed respect for walking and fresh air I think there will be many more walking trips in this madhouse!

It has been a busy, active month for you. You’ve got a toddler with real stamina. He managed that walk round the lake really well.
