I am not talking high street, or boutique shop, for me this year it’s all about taking the time to pamper and rediscover me and I will tell you why …
A week or so back my Friend and I were invited to visit Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa in Leicestershire to pamper ourselves on an Overnight Reviver Break and up until that point I really had no idea at just how much mentally and physically I have needed to take this time out.
In the past I had generally thought it a bit of pampering would be nice but not needed, however after last weekend I can honestly say I am kicking myself at having not found this place sooner!
Based in the Midlands this utterly breathtaking venue is set in a beautiful idyllic rural hamlet and has views of open fields across the county of Leicestershire which give not only the idea of space but also of seclusion as the whole Hall is located on its own out-of-the-way.
On arriving it was lovely to hear that the whole of the building is used for the purposes of the Health Hydro and Thermal Spa so space and privacy was certainly going on in abundance.
From the moment my friend Stacey and I arrived the staff could not have been more helpful, from parking cars, handling bags and service throughout. There really was no element of staff service that could have been faulted over the 2 days and with a mountain of information we didn’t find anyone that could not help with our enquiries.
Rag dale Hall has the most amazing Thermal Spa which was utterly mind-blowing with multiple rooms all catering for different needs such as the Candle Pool, Indoor/Outdoor Waterfall Pool, Thought Zone, Colourflow Cave, Volcanic Salt Bath, Scented Room, Rose Sauna and even a Thunder Cave Shower!
Our favourite spots being pregnant while we were there were the Candle Pool and the Outdoor Waterfall Pool (Which is even more amazing at night time!) However we so can’t wait to go not pregnant to try out some of the other amazing looking areas too!
If you pay for a package in which you stay over at this beautifully exuberant and stylish Hall you can rest assured every aspect of your over night stay or stays if you have multiple nights has been thought through with great care and the rooms hold everything you will need for your stay with well equipped tea trays, hairdryer, fan and the most comfy beds … ever! Yep that’s right even being pregnant the bed I stayed in was amazing!
Breakfast is also another exceptionally thought out advantage to staying over too with a wide selection of continental breakfast items that can be delivered to your room at 2 time slots within the morning or if you don’t fancy lazing away a morning you can choose to take breakfast downstairs when you fill in your breakfast choices on the form.
We opted for a lazy wake up and our breakfasts were brought to the room and we had the pleasure of a really laid back breakfast in our pyjamas! … (the ham and cheese toasties were by far are the best ones I have tasted for a long while!)
Talking of food this beautiful Health Hydro and Thermal Spa has without a doubt a very talented chef and team of kitchen staff as the lunch menus were delicious and so very well thought through that when it came to the evening meals we were looking forward to seeing what was on offer and with a beautiful a la carte menu with some exquisitely presented offerings …. teamed with some courteous and attentive waiting staff it really was a wonderful experience in itself!
During our stay Stacey and I were treated to the most wonderful Radiance Elemis facials and I chose to have an extra luxury and treat myself to a B-Line Foot Smoothie and Stacey treated herself to a Perfect Sense Paraffin Wax Foot Treatment and I have to say we were utterly thrilled with them, with invigorated and hydrated faces and feet we were super happy pregnant ladies!
No matter if you want to revive your body, mind or skin this amazing venue really does cater for it all. When I visit locations I like to be able to tell you the good the bad and the ugly and let me tell you the ugly was my exhausted and worn out body and mind, the good was everything about this place and the bad was the fact I have only just discovered Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa.
Dearest friends and relatives …. All I want for Christmas this year is Ragdale Hall GIFT VOUCHERS!! … After all squeezing in another relaxing visit before baby is born really would be amazing!
