As part of what I do I am really really lucky to get to work with and discover some amazing Brands and with the help of Britax who gifted me some tickets I attended this years Baby Show at Birmingham NEC and I got to see what was on offer from the Brands I have had the pleasure of working with or for brands we have bought products from.
Since Jacob was born Britax has been in our daily lives as we discovered them when we reviewed the Britax Affinity pushchair, the blue chariot as it’s affectionately known is one of our favourites and hubby’s all time favourite, although I am not sure if that is just down to the amazing blue colour way (he is an Everton football Fan) or not.
So what were Britax show casing this show… The B-Ready pushchair which is their new all in one.
Britax’s new all-in-one pushchair, is a fantastic addition to their range and super for those families that already need one pushchair as with this one you can make it a double with a click as the extra module turn it into a great in-line tandem pushchair from newborn to pre-schoolers!
In the B-READY children can travel in both forward and rearward facing positions or alternatively they can face each other.
Have a newborn, no problem click on a carrycot or infant car seat, have twins … again no problem you can mix and match which combination you need! and with the puncture free tyres this chariot is going to keep you rolling!
What I adored about the B-Ready is the fact it fold with both seat units attached (forward facing only) and takes up far less space than you would imagine.
If you’re looking to invest then keep your eyes peeled as it’s being rolled out this summer.
The next brand I have had the pleasure of working with in the past is the Tommee Tippee crew,
Their ingenious Prefect Prep Machine saved my bacon and sanity a couple of months ago after discovering issues with breastfeeding an acute Reflux baby and having to turn to formula instead.
It produces perfectly warmed formula in mere minutes so no more boiling and waiting!
It didn’t come as a surprise to me that they were unveiling another couple of genius products this time round with their brand new Express and Go breastfeeding range which is a revolutionary new system that can be used with most breast pumps enables an expressing Mum to feed baby more quickly and easily as you express directly into a pre -sterilised pouch with a lid using a breast pump. The pouch has a screw top for a super secure seal and is compact, light weight and recyclable.
You can store up to 12 pouches in the fridge or freezer with a compact case which prevents any damage or loss and you can then warm direct from the fridge or freezer using their pouch warmer which will preserve the vitamins and nutrients.
Not only is the prep and storing done in one, with the help of the special shaped bottles you can simply click in the pouch and feed, no tipping, pouring or multiple sterilising of masses of equipment! … I quite simply wished this had been in shops with I was express feeding it looks like a super time saver.
Next on my list of Brand favourites is the super ingenious folks Shnuggle, If you have been round here a while you will know I fell in love with the brand while pregnant after looking for a non moses basket moses basket … yep that’s right I needed something I could easily transport from room to room, that was super easy to clean and that looked stylish without the ruffles and fluff that most moses baskets come with and that’s when the Shnuggle Dreami stepped into my life.
This has been by far one of my baby essentials that I fell in love with while pregnant and my love for it has continued to grow. The Shnuggle Dreami retails at a really reasonable price too and £129.99 and can be used in a fixed position with this curve stand on the high setting or you can flip it over to the rocker and use it in the rocking version too!
We were really lucky to be able to review the Shnuggle Dreami a little while back and below is my video on my initial thoughts of the Dreami and setting it up.
We also fell in love with the Shnuggle Bath and bought this a week before Jacob was born and it was a super wise investment, after my section it was easier for me to hold and manoeuvre to wash him and at 4 months he is really really enjoying bath time in there!
My final shout out for the Brands I know and already love is for the Stokke brand, recently we were looking for something to help include baby Jacob at the family table but didn’t want to spend a fortune on having to replace something a few months down the line so did some research and found that the Stokke Tripp Trapp could be used from birth to young adult and so did some research.
The Tripp Trapp comes as a standard chair but is customisable to add-on features to turn it into a high chair and also has the option of buying a newborn ‘nest’ that clips onto the chair too.
With money being tight while having a small baby we opted to buy one second-hand and although it is slightly scruffy round the edges the functionality of this product has had me hooked and if I’d of known just how fantastic it was we would have budgeted for buying a new one at the beginning.
Having seen the new ones at The Baby Show I have to say I certainly wish we had been in a position to buy a new one just for the opportunity to pick a colour as it comes in 12 amazing colours and you can choose the baby seat and cushions to suit your colours scheme too and since ours doesn’t fit with our current kitchen colour scheme and drives me nuts I am slightly kicking myself that we didn’t buy from new.
Although this seat comes with a more ‘luxury’ price tag of £169 for the chair, £47 for the baby seat, £75 for the newborn nest, £33 for the cushion and £39 for the tray its most certainly an investment piece as many of my friends who have them have had them in the family from birth and have children as old as 10 still using them!
Did you go to the Baby Show in Birmingham this year? or maybe you have discovered a fantastic new brand or product, if so please do let me know below …
