During the last school holidays Ollie (hubs) and I, along with the Joshua (age 5) and Jacob (4 months) headed to London to discover what the clothing brand Nutmeg would be unveiling in the coming Autumn/Winter.
To say I was rather excited would be an understatement as for the last 3 winters Joshua’s main winter wardrobe has consisted of 98% Nutmeg clothing having found them in a Morrisons Store on the way to my Friends house.
I am going to be mega honest and say children’s fashion is not my forte and certainly not my niche, however hardwearing, stylish, well-fitting clothes that are easy to clean certainly are!
On arriving at the venue it was really exciting to see what the themes would be for this years clothing and I was really pleased as its one of my favourites … Nature.
The whole clothing range has a really warm yet playful feeling about it with geometric designs and floral patterns and all based on 3 key trends:
The 3 main collections for the Autumn/Winter range all follow some really stunning colour palettes and are very earthy and autumnal.
For the boys baby range I fell in love with several pieces from the new collection and have no doubt these will be in my shopping basket when the range is released as not only were they great prices, Nutmeg clothing will also be in all stores before October this year! bonus for me as my nearest one with clothing in is a fair drive, however the store up the road should have some pieces in this year so I am super pleased!
I love the muted tones and the interchangeable pieces meaning most of the range can be swapped and mixed to make different looks all with the same key pieces.
The ability to mix and match was a nice touch in the baby boy clothing but it was even more apparent with the younger boys clothing for Joshua.
With statement tops that could be dressed up or down and ready for any occasion, from lunch out to an afternoon of tree climbing the younger boys range is set to be fantastic.
Since I am only buying for boys I must admit to not paying too much attention to the girls ranges but If you are interested in girls clothing the wonderful Sarah at Boo Roo and Tigger Too showcases some on her post you can find HERE.
Thank you Nutmeg for allowing us to come and play at your event and discover your new range … its been a hit with us and now we can’t wait to see it in store.
