Since his birth in February Jacob has been undoubtedly one of those babies who you look at and say “you have been here before”
He has a very knowing look about him, all the while he is looking under his lashes at you and weighing you up.
I knew in the first week of him arriving that there would be no stopping him and he would be up and chasing his brother sooner than we thought.
A week or so back he seemed to confirm my thoughts.
Wednesday 8th June was just a normal morning, Joshua and I were in the midst of the morning school jobs and it was chaos as normal but when we left the room for all of 2 minutes it seems Jacob was planning on taking the bull by the horns.
We left him on the changing mat but came back to this …
So it seems another of Jacobs firsts have been ticked off the list, we knew his head control was good but now there seems to be no stopping him and if I am honest I am rather shocked that at 4 months he is just as mobile, I don’t remember Joshua being this speedy on the turning over!
Since he started that first roll he has been rolling like there is no tomorrow, often not realising he is doing it but other times the look of concentration is excellent, he has yet to go from front to back but again this is not through lack of trying.
I need time to stand still just for a little while, I need to soak up those baby moments and for Jacob to stop growing just a little bit, before I know it this little fella will be up and running with his Brother.
Babies really don’t stop babies for long do they?
