If you have been following me for a while you will already know we have started the weaning journey and with this next stage it means being prepared for messy meals.
Now being prepared at home is so much easier than being out and about and it is the one thing we have struggled with.
Highchairs are often provided in eateries but with Jacob who is still fairly wobbly in the open seated highchairs it has caused a massive issues while feeding on the move, oh and lets not forget the sticky options that tend to face us more often than not!
Over the last few weeks we have been test driving the Babymoov Up & Go booster seat which retails at a reasonable price of £34.99.
The Up & Go booster seat is designed to be on the move with you and comes with a carry handle and designed to fit on all chairs with the help of rubber feet on the bottom corners and 3 attachment straps, by the way the ones on the bottom have the adjuster bits inside the bottom seat unit if you can find them *cough cough* I may have struggled to locate them!
The seat with its zips and straps can all be condensed down which is great and obviously makes it even easier to transport too.
When using this one I have to say the height adjustable feature was great, with a giant screw on the side push it in to turn and you can increase the height of the base using in a couple of turns or you can reduce in the same way but turning it in the opposite direction. (you must push the screw in before turning for it to work)
The harness, although only 3 point it’s positioned fairly high up the unit meaning it kept even my wiggly bottomed 6 month old in … However it’s obviously not as sturdy as a 5 point harness on a fixed highchair so I would personally not advise wandering off mid use.
I am utterly thrilled with a certain aspect of this booster seat and that the fact it can be unfastening to the frame and thrown in the washing machine! Although it wipeable I never feel like its 100% clean so the fact this gets to have a full on wash is amazing as there is nothing more grotty than highchair or booster from a weaning baby!
Overall I have really loved the Babymoov Up & Go booster seat, its been really great to have and I now leave it in the boot of the car for trips to Grandparents and friends house and for the price I think its been one of the better travel booster seats I have come across due the height adjustment and washable covers.
