Yes, I am back to being fat, although let’s be honest since it has been the case for a while.
After feeling so unfit and fat on holiday I vowed that I would start from scratch again and try to get back to my healthy options.
Although I had planned to be back a the gym after holiday work took hold and I decided that painting every wood panel of my garden fencing instead, a job that needed doing but one that I could have done later in the year. Maybe it was another of my procrastination jobs coming to the surface.
Regardless the sheds and fences are starting to look good.
In honour of deciding to get my head out of my ass and finally admitting I need to make drastic changes next weeks starts my new non hidden journey of firing the flab and getting fitter.
I am planning on visiting the gym most days if possible as Ollie gets home from work mid afternoon and I am hoping with some possible grandparent support I can squeeze in a session or two in the mornings too.
My aim is to be able to run, I’m never going to be a marathon runner but at least a hold your own kind of run. Ideally not looking like a muppet as I do it would be beneficial to my very delicate ego.
Over the last few months I have finally kicked my Diet Coke addiction and can enjoy one glass when I fancy it without following it up with 4 litres for the next 2 days. In fact I am thrilled at how much water I am now drinking and although most of it is with squash I am taking it as a win as it’s still water.
So watch this space as I hope I start shrinking before your eyes.
