It is not easy to say or even admit to however for the last 6 years I really feel it has been the first time in my adult life that I have finally got to grips with money …. And I am finally understanding what it takes to budget for the big things in life.
After a turbulent and abusive time 7-8 years ago breaking free cost me a lot … in fact it cost me the roof over my head that I owned and a bankruptcy order to boot.
Rebuilding my life was hard but rebuilding my new home was refreshingly hard work in a good way, although money played a big part in it, with having a house that had been previously unloved for many years is big changes and updating a home is expensive so ensuring that you have your finances in order take some doing and if you are looking at making the change with a loan, ensuring you have not only the best deal but also that it’s a sensible repayment scheme is a most so something like the Loan Calculator from TSB may help.
For me my perfect Kitchen was fitted 5 years ago but as my family has grown I now need to look at adding more storage options, whether that be from a refit or added storage has yet to be decided but it’s not something I would take lightly … I am certainly going to be looking at what the funds will allow but for the time being it really is about the storage and below is what I am hoping to do to increase storage in my kitchen!
So until I get my turntable corner cupboards or the large pantry cupboard I am going to start revamping the storage after all you can never have enough can you?
