Recently we were immensely lucky to be sent the Captain America Blaster Shield and the Iron Man Slide Blast Armour and to say I had a very excited Joshua would be an understatement.
Firstly the Captain America Blaster Reveal Shield, I was surprised at how light this was as it looks fairly heavy, its packed full of little details and is really easy to close the shield.
The blaster shield holds two nerf darts and is super easy to fire in a battle situation … or at the deadly cushion at the end of the living room … as obviously it’s an enemy *cough cough* so I was told anyway.
To open the shield you press the middle grey/silver star and the blaster shield transforms ready to fire and with a pull on the red leaver underneath the 2 nerf darts are ready to fly!
Although this toy says its aimed at children from 6 years, Joshua is 5 1/2 and can easily operate all the functions on it.
Next on the list of toys to try was the Iron Man Slide Blaster Armour which looked super cool!
This nifty toy again like the Blaster Reveal Shield it has 2 individual actions, with 2 push buttons in the hand grip if you squeeze the top your armour deploys and opens to protect your forearm then after pulling out the level at the top if you press the bottom button on the hand grip the Nerf darts fire out.
We were really impressed at just how far the Nerf darts fire from this toy and needless to say the retractable arm armour was more than a hit for Joshua.
This toys is also marketed for children 6+ years but Joshua was able to work the toy beautifully.
Both of these toys have been well loved in this household and with a school friend due over for tea I have no doubt my living room will be a battle ground, although thankfully for the first time ever I will be rather chuffed with that!
