Ever since CBeebies Land opened at Alton Towers we have been wanting to visit, now that James is four we thought it was the perfect age, but of course we now have Freddie who is one year old. Would there be enough for him to do?
The answer to that question is a big yes!
There was plenty of “family” attractions that we could all go on together! The most popular being Postman Pat and In The Night Garden! The queues for both these rides was about 25/30 minutes but there was plenty of games and activities in the queue to keep both boys amused.
The Postman Pat ride was brilliant! The boys got to sit in the front of Pat’s van and when prompted press the buttons to deliver the right parcel to the right person! James was really good at this, where as Freddie just kept bashing the horn and giggling!
The In The Night Garden ride was very relaxed. You were in little boats, taken around and see all the characters! James was loving this and singing all the character songs where as Freddie was sat on daddy’s knee totally mesmerised by all the colours and music! His fact totally lit up when he saw Iggle Piggle!
We also did the Tree Top Adventure which was like a little monorail that took you around CBeebies land from above so you could see the whole section of the Park! While James was on bigger rides Freddie enjoyed toddling around on his reins!
There was also a lot to do in the main Alton Towers park for families! We really enjoyed spending time in the Sharkbait Reef Aquarium! Freddie was loving the fish and of course we found Nemo and Dory!
There was plenty of food choices too for a one year old. On the first day we ate at the lunch box in CBeebies Land where the boys had jacket potatoes with beans. Then some fruit. James had milk to drink and Freddie tried apple juice! On day two we ate at the burger kitchen in cloud cuckoo land. Both boys had kids chicken fillet meals with chips and Capri sun. In fact I think Freddie actually ate more than his big brother!
Would we go back to CBeebies Land? It’s a very big yes! At 17 months old Freddie is already 0.76 metres tall and the minimum hight restriction is 0.9 metres so I think Freddie will be on the bigger rides like Octonauts before he turns three!
