A few months back I updated my status on Facebook at one of my lowest ebb’s of my learning to date.
I have been a an on off learner for the last 13 years, I enroll on a course, complete and then have a break for a year or two before tackling the next course on my list.
My last course started last September and unlike all the other course I had completed in the past this one was only classroom based every other week. By Christmas my concentration in the subject began to wane, and then at the beginning of this year my self employment took off and I had enough work to keep me busy almost full time. Topped off with an upcoming operation I was in complete panic stations to get completed with the course and then recoup without stress.
So on the run up to the operation I completed all the assignment modules that I would need as a minimum to pass with, I got my paid work up to date and spent a couple of months getting back on my feet … then a bombshell was dropped …
I received an email telling me that 1 assignment wanted completely redoing as I had gone too far off on a tangent and one needed a unit redoing and I had less than 48 hours to do it as she was leaving and needed to submit them before that Friday.
I cried ..
So last week I shed a tear when I opened my post to find … I had finally got my certificate .. this course is done and finished and I passed …
OK it’s not quite degree standing but its mine all mine and it supports some of the others I have so it only ever helps me in the long-term.
So there you have it .. until my next course …
