Optimism is not something I would normally associate with trying to lose weight and getting fit, but after having a couple of bed weeks on the loss front.
However this week I have picked myself up and gone back to a healthier mindset.
After my birthday week followed by a stinking cold last week, this week has been about moderation and I have to be honest and say some days have been better than others.
This week I managed 2 gym session and in both of them I felt like I might throw up half way through … and my heart rate was through the roof but I am so pleased I pushed on regardless.
There has been no weight loss this week, but I have felt a shift in my clothes, the waist band is slightly looser in my jeans so I am hoping this is all a small step in the right direction and next week I will see results again.
Next week I am also going to have to go back to meal planning as left to my own devices is not helpful and I certainly don’t make the best choices.
I am also going to have to ban all goodies from the house as my husband has fallen off his get fit waggon and is threatening to take me down with him … My resolve really isn’t great.
This week I also had my hernia diagnosed and although I thought it would require surgery I have had it fully confirmed that I will need surgery soon to repair it, which has made me all the more determined to keep pushing through and to keep going.
I don’t want to be fat and 40 … and if I have to be 40 in 3 years I want to finally like the body I am in.
If you are on a weight loss journey I would love to hear what your go to recipes are for keeping on track …
