Now this particular course is located at our favourite local Farm Park and with Ollie’s new job meaning he is home for 2.30pm and Bethany’s school on strike we went off to clear the cobwebs from our quality time!
We have always wondered past with such hope that one day we could play. Now having only ever visited at the weekends we always refused to stand in a line 20 deep to go and play, I fear this is probably more my fault as I don’t do queues, or patience nor being under pressure and being watched.
However this week there was a Father and Daughter on there on their own, so we set off at a gentle trot grabbed some clubs and set off. Joshua on the first hole decided he was to set up another set of game rules which in fact you didn’t need clubs at all!
I fear most folk would soon get bored with his method of dropping the balls in the holes from half an inch from above and shouting “GOAL” … but in fact if you ever see this new game remember you saw it here first!
There were some amazing moments Beth badly hitting every obstacle she came across, Ollie in raptures over …..” its going to go in” …….. “no its not” …….. and then me following round trying to watch out for balls hurtling past me and a toddler in the throws of a new exciting game.
Following the excitement of Crazy Golf it was only right that we check out a few things at the farm park before heading home.
I am so pleased we made the effort to get off our bottoms and get out in the fresh air, although cold it was a lovely few hours and some much needed hilarity even if physical extraction was needed to remove the toddler from the tractor ….
You sure do get some strange looks from passers-by carrying a wailing toddler under your arm but when needs must!
