For me Father’s Day is super special, its the one day of the year that we (I mean the royal we, me and the kids) like to do something a little more special to show Ollie how much we love him….but also to help him out.
Those of you that may know my husband will know he is not technical at all and if it has any kind of electronics inside we might just be here a while explaining it… I on the other hand love anything with a plug and some diodes!
This year will looking for electronics gifts its fair to say I always try and factor in cost since lets face it for most a great deal of saving needs to go into buying something like an iPad or the like so, yes great gifts but to expensive for most so I have gone for items with more reasonable prices tags and yet still varied!
First on my list is the ingenious TabletTV, Hubs has recently discovered the joy of using a tablet instead of his tank like laptop and part of his journey of discovery was finding how much he loved playing games and watching things!
So what better way to enjoy watching more than to be able to watch and record your programs and that is exactly what the TabletTV does! .. I have to say the set up was super easy and since the device is really rather compact it really helps to make it portable so no need to WiFi or for extra TV cables either and whats even better is while using it there were absolutely no buffering issues. This portable option comes in at a £69.99 which I think is fab
Next on my ingenious list of electronic items has to be the Lumie Bodyclock, have you heard of this before? well let me fill you in.
The Lumie Bodyclock is sunrise/sunset simulator that wakes you up gradually with a sunrise effect by the light on the top of the machine! … no more blaring music or noise (unless you want it too as it has that feature too!)
When it arrived here we thought it would be really complex to set up but literally all you do is pop in the lightbulb and set the time and you are away! It has easy to understand and operate functions on the front and has a speaker and FM cable on the back of the unit making it rather sleek to look at from the front!
I loved the concept of this machine and in fact we have rather enjoyed using it too .. I really can’t tell you how much more peaceful it is in our house in a morning without 47 alarms blaring out!
This particular version retails at £99.95 however the full range currently runs from £59.95 – £160 and each one has different features meaning you can choose which best fits for you.
Next on the list has to be a new innovative mens grooming essential! … Shaving for some is a painful grind … but what if it wasn’t painful? What if in fact it was cool? .. For this I had help testing, since in fact my top lip has been waxed and so didn’t constitute much of a trial!
Well, the new Braun CoolTec CT2s is a fairly new electric shaver designed to cool shaving down … Literally!
The new member of the Braun shaving family has a revolutionary aluminium cooling bar integrated into the head so it actually cools the face down.
It fits to facial contours for a super close shave and another joy to this product is the wet/dry ability meaning its good for all and with over 45 minutes battery once fully charged its good on the go!
There are several version of the Braun CoolTec shaver, each having slightly different features and price tags dependant upon what your needs would be.
Another fab idea for those of us that love cleaning .. And believe it or not leave it long enough hubs is too!
What about the Hoover Jovis wet and dry handheld carpet cleaner? Ideal for the car, caravan and just about anywhere you want to take it in the house!
I had the pleasure of reviewing this product a short while ago and was really pleased and shocked at just how powerful this was for handheld vacuum!
Finally on my list of products has to be the amazing Fitbit … Fitbit ‘s are the new breed of movement trackers and I personally have had a Fitbit Charge that I have been wearing constantly for the last few month and I’ve fallen in love with its userbility and how addictive it is to challenge my friends to keep active and to move!
Over recent months my hubs has been desperate for a Fitbit of his very own as he like to think of himself as being fit and active so loves the idea of these and that you can track and challenge your way fit.
However what I also love about these products is that they are so very varied and with a starting price of £49.99 For a Fitbit Zip they are not too taxing on the pockets either!
If you are looking for something non electronic for Father’s Day I did a post about this a week ago and you can find it HERE …
What ever you buy for the Father’s in your life I am sure they will love it!
