This morning after Joshua decided sleeping past 6.30 am was not going to happen (serves me right gloating yesterday about him sleeping through 11-12 hrs at a time)
So in the absence of any further sleep we decided to do some painting, which in all fairness has been one of the first times we have done any painting.
Joshua picked his 2 colours: blue & green and then set about making a jolly fine mess picture followed by several more!
Today has been lots of fun already and its not even 9 am!
I wonder what other fun stuff we might do today ……
Arts and crafts are always fun at that age! Especially finger paints
I have never really done anything crafty with him before but he loved it so will have to think of more things to do.
Looks like he was enjoying himself! It’s amazing what we mums get up to at the early hours of the morning! Hope the rest of the day was just as fun!
I certainly did enjoy it, i will have to think of more stuff to do at silly o’clock!

Have you tried “cornsilk” ? Cheap, easy, and great fun! Cornflour, mixed into a paste with water, so it’s the consistency of paint, in a tray, (add food colouring if you like) and then let him play with it, it has this weird solid to liquid texture, Matthew likes to make shapes, and run a toy car through it. Mess wise, I would say the same as paint, but it is great fun. We used to do it at work for children with sight/sensory impairments, endless hours of fun!
Ah this sound fab, i have some cornflour in the cupboard! i am liking the sound of this … if we have another super early morning i will have to have a go with him!
I love to see little ones getting messy! Such a rewarding experience!
