Saturday Afternoon Fun

Saturday afternoon f

This weekend was quite a hectic one for me which included a hockey match, 3 hours of ironing and a general tidy up of The Oliver’s Madhouse.

Since we were super busy we thought it only best to try and get out and about with Joshua and so we set off for the local Farm Park for a couple of hours fresh air and one super hyper toddler.

We all really loved our visit but on discovering the sheep Joshua decided he was frightened of the noise! He screamed and cried and constantly shouted “bye” in the hopes we would more away from them.

He did find a new friend in a giant chicken as he tried to give it stones for food, luckily the chicken didn’t want the stones but Joshua was certainly insistent!

It certainly was great to get out and about and since we all have yearly season passes no doubt we will be back.

  1. I think I may look into a season ticket for a fab local place for this summer. Our kids are starting to get too old for free entry so after April it could work out cheaper. Just got to decide on our favourite place and check out season ticket prices. Glad you managed to have some fun x

Thanks Karen, our farm park was nearly £9 per person per visits (including the kids) about twice a year they do them for £20 per person. The kids had money for christmas so they bought their own and we only had ours to pay for. We have been twice now in the last few weeks so have already made out money on them.

Plus you can just have an hour if you want without feeling guilty! :-)

That look like a really lovely sunny day out Jaime. Our neighbours sheep are massive so I’m hoping the lambs are going to start coming soon. You should bring Joshua over to my house, my stupid chickens would probably eat the stones!

I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that chickens do Infact eat stones, I’m sure it helps their digestion (I think it was chickens anyway lol) do Joshua may actually be a genius :-)

lol lol I am going to google that, Bless him I have been picking on him and his insatiable need to feed them stones and maybe he was actually super clever!! :-) love it :-)

  5. I think I would be more frightened of the chicken that the sheep! Bless him :) x

All those animals do remind me of our farm here. Joshua looks like he is managing quite well with the animals from the pictures. A week of tractor rides and animal feeding here and he would be the super cool kid back home. I hope you might come and visit us one day. In the mean time enjoy your annual pass and thank you for finding my outdoor linky and joining in.

  8. My wee man has a fear of certain animals sometimes too! Especially if they are too noisy! He needs some time to get used to them, which is the way he approaches most things really. So great to have passes to a place like that, I don’t think you can ever really tire of the fun!

My daughter never had an issue with animals so although i am saying i am pleased its not just Joshua – i dont mean it in a horrible way x

I can see many of the days of the school holiday being spent there! x

  9. 3 hours of ironing! Blimey, you definitely needed to get out and about after that :D
Our farm park has a few animals but nothing as exciting as a Meerkat and looks like Joshua had a lovely time.
