So here is ladies and gentleman, I am about to embark on the Slimpod Weight Loss challenge hosted by the lovely Debbie at Motivating Mum as its time to make the changes emotional ones as well as the physical ones.
This time round I am on my 3rd attempt to lose weight. My first came about after Joshua was born I embarked on the dieting band waggon and did well, shedding 5 stones in just over a year. I then after a break and a stone added back to my waistline I went back to dieting again and lost 0.5 stones .. then decided to give up smoking in October ….. and between then and now I have officially added another 2 stones and 9 lbs back on making my current weight:

This is by far the biggest I have been while un-pregnant and I am not only disgusted with myself, but I have given myself the emotional and mental battering that are so typical of us weight loss seekers!
So this is where things are going to change … I am going to tackle my weight loss from every angle, exercise, healthy diet and some mental encouragement in the form a Slimpod.
Up until a few weeks ago I was oblivious to a “Slimpod” and so when I realised that a Slimpod is a recording which you listen to each day that is supposed to help retrain your brain I thought it was time to give it a go and see what happens!
I am not going to sit back on my laurels either as I have even returned to the gym this week after waiting for my stitches to come out from my recent op. I have even gone back to tracking my activity with the Fitbug Orb since I am now being active now too!
So its with great joy I am stepping back into this journey with renewed vigor and optimism.
From fat to fab …….. here I come ……..
Good luck I wish you every success. Losing weight and keeping it off can be a real battle. The slimpod sounds really good, can’t wait to hear about the results. xx
I weigh about 16.5 but I was nearly 18. I tried this system and found it very relaxing . Hope it works for you. Best of luck we can do it lol x
Good luck honey, you have the added bonus of knowing you can lose lots of weight you just need to be positive. Get yourself making overnight oats, lots of nutrients and filling, I have also just embarked on eating smoothies to try and get some much needed vitamins to help with the Fibro. Big hugs xx
thanks honey, on the next shop those overnight oats are mine!! 🙂 i used to like smoothies but went off them for a while .. i may have to bring them back!
Good luck. I find it difficult to keep the motivation going.
Well done you! I think it is a womans prerogative to be any size she wants, as I believe you can be sexy at any size. For me, the time to change is when you no longer feel that way and that’s obviously the point that you’ve reached so good on you for doing something about it. I’m looking to lose some weight as I’m bigger right now than I’m truly comfortable with, so I’ll enjoy seeing how you get one and if this may be a plan for me to consider 🙂
Good luck lovely! I agree with Vicky – size isn’t the issue, it’s how you feel about yourself. Incidentally Hubbie and I have been using a free app called NOOM on our phones to track what we eat and that’s been really helpful for us in losing weight since Christmas.
I have heard about these on another blog, can’t wait to hear your views on it. You should join back in with Autism Mumma’s Wobble Wednesday, they’re really supportive xx
thanks honey, I have joined the linky now its live 🙂
Ooh Slimpod looks really interesting, wishing you the best of luck with this x
awww thanks so much honey x
Good luck lovely and thanks for linking up, will look forward to reading progress xx
thanks Jeannette x
