I don’t know about you but sometimes finding gifts for any occasion that the recipient hasn’t already had in every colour going!
This year I have been looking for some Father’s Day gifts that aren’t going to be bought in the supermarket while doing the weekly shop and I have found a few some really lovely gifts that won’t blow the budget either!
I recently discovered a company called Journals of a Lifetime when I reviewed their Early Years Journals. I was really pleased to see they had continued their range with some lovely books for Dad’s and these 2 I would be proud to give to my Dad.
The first one ‘Dear Dad‘ is a beautiful book filled with questions aimed at your Dad and their thoughts and feelings so its bound to give you more of an inside knowledge to your own Dad!
The second book I loved in their range was the ‘Dad & Me‘ book which is a lovely interactive bonding book, Dad and Child can both fill in this book to document their lives together! (how cute is that!)
For Ollie (hubs) I like to look for quirky food items as he likes to think of him self as a master in the kitchen and experiments with foods .. Preferably the hotter the better, this is where the next gift suggestion comes from.
This beautiful Hot Sauce Gift is an ideal gift for my fiery hot food lover .. and even I am super impressed with the amount of the flavours there are on offer and I even have my eye on the Thai Sweet Chilli.
I do also really love the size as these are great for several meals and so I also like the fact there is enough for a trial before buying full size versions so win win on this!
For Chocolate gifts again we tend to go and purchase it from a supermarket on route with the weekly shopping .. So we had kind of got used to the standard bars of chocolate. However recently we got to try these beautifully presented Father’s Day gift box of luxury chocolates from Choc On Choc.
The letters that make up the ‘Best Dad’ are made from a mix of white and dark Belgian chocolate which are utterly divine and the bonus with this particular pack is you get 8 chocolate truffles too .. 4 x triple chocolate brownie flavour and 4 x salted caramel flavours too so these make ideal gift from the norm!
Talking of moving away from the norm – Sock … Novelty socks have been on our must buy list for more Christmas and birthday gift for my families men folk than I care to imagine. However what I have never done is looked as something that offers a whole lot more than cheap novelty socks like these Happy Socks from Fat Buddha which are so much more classy and stylish! …
They make a really lovely gift as they are beautifully presented and contain such a lovely and funky socks they are certainly going to make a super gift.
How about a really new fragrance for your father? Ted Baker’s new Eau de Toilette gift sets have just launched exclusively at The Perfume Shop. The gift contains a 30ml Eau de Toilette along with a 100ml Body Wash and After Shave Balm, all infused with a fresh, woody and understated fragrance with top notes of tonka bean, musk and vetiver combined with a spicy blend of amber and coriander.
I was really really impressed with the quality, price and size of these, at £14.99 it certainly won’t break the bank this Father’s Day but emanates the quality you would expect with Ted Baker
For the larger or beer lover there has to be a drinks gift set in the mix and this freedom award winning British lagers gift set from Moonpig.com is a serious contender with a nice price too!

This lovely gift set contains 5 different bottles of their larger – light, dry pilsner; floral, hoppy Four lager; golden, citrusy English lager; rich, smooth dark lager and subtly sweet and spicy Hoppy English lager so there is certainly going to be one or two your beer lover will like!
This last gift selection is for that BBQ or food geek in your life! This beautiful ‘Chillin and Grillin’ apron is a fab option! Made of hard warding canvas and coming with 2 front pockets on the front to hold the BBQ essentials it’s really.
It has an adjustable neck strap making it fit even the tallest Dad!
