Bank Holiday was a lovely day for us, the weather was glorious and the need to get out soon niggled. So after discovering the gorgeous river down the road where I do my fitness boot camps each week, I had been raving about how nice it was so we set off for some fresh air and a stroll.
Now to get there its a short drive and then we have to cross some train tracks. Joshua loved it and was such a happy boy until …… the cows appeared on the other side!
For some unknown reason my little man is terrified of cows and I mean absolutely petrified! he cry’s and clings and prefers to be picked up and removed from the vicinity!
If I am honest I am not a fan either of these particular cows as they have no issues with coming up to you and herding you out the way. In fact while I have been at boot camp before they have surrounded us and proceeded to poo over everything, needless to say I like my cows behind a fences … or on my plate!
After passing the wild cows, we were fortunate for a train to come past which Joshua loved! Although I think Daddy was just as excited!
We traveled slowly collecting sticks of varying sizes (this was Joshua not us) and after passing several people and insisting on talking and offering good mornings to them all he was beginning to flag. In fact we knew we were going to have to turn round when he kept falling into ditches!
Piggy backs were then the order of the day on the way back until he wiggled so much we had to put him down, meaning it took us an age to get back!
I am so pleased we managed to get out in the fresh air and make use of this time together.
