Last week saw my little piece of cyber space turn 3 years old, it has been a difficult journey at times with steep learning curves and even steeper hours when I decided to make my blog my income too.
Over the last 3 years what has blown me away most about the blogging journey and the community itself has been the people.
Throughout the last 3 years I have been all over the country at events and workshops that have allowed me to meet and make friends with the most amazing bunch of folk, it has moved me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow not only as a person but as a friend too.
As I have got older my circle of friends in my real world (as opposed to the online life) has got smaller and smaller, I no longer put up with fine weather friends who are there for the good and nowhere to be seen when its bad. Instead I have a few hardcore friends that come hell or high water would go that extra mile, the ones that know life can be chaotic and busy and even if its been months since we met up we pick up where we left off.
It’s the same with my online blogging chums, we are spread far and wide and we can go almost a full year without clapping eyes on each other yet they have supported me through some horrific times over the years, along with supporting me through the good ones.
I have cried with my online friends, I have laughed with them and most of all I have learnt from them.
When I heard about Mission Deli Wraps recent pledge to raise £50,000 for Breast Cancer Care this month (Pinktober) by turning their packs pink I was thrilled.
Everyone needs good friends as they play a key role in our lives and I am overwhelmingly grateful to have so many, but for anyone going through this dreadful disease having friends is paramount.
Going through this emotionally chaotic and soul-destroying journey having support and friendship wherever and whenever needed is something we could all help with so this October I will be buying pink in the form of Mission Deli Wraps! … Making the choice to buy pink will be no hardship we buy wraps anyway … but for the next month ours will be pink packs!
Who’s with my to join forces this Pinktober and buying pink?!
Mission Deli Wraps are also running a competition every week on their Facebook page rewarding friends with a lovely pink Girl’s Night In hamper so why not pop over and tell Mission Deli Wraps why your friends are amazing! (FaceBook Mission Deli Wraps)
