I honestly could sit here and say I have tried over recent months to loose the weight and get fitter. However it would all be a big fat cream and chips covered lie.
I have allowed myself to really loose the plot with my eating and in turn have not returned properly to the gym since I was given the all clear to return in May after a major operation. I started what I hoped would be me running journey use the Zombie Run app and I hoped I was going to become runner number 5.
Well, I failed.
After 3 more trips to the gym, I allowed life to get in the way and so after one of the hardest school summer holidays I have had ever with balancing work and the boys I am going to embark on starting September in a better more organised place.
My diet is not going to be a fully fledge leave you starving affair either. I am back loosely following the Slimfast 321 plan after buying their meal replacement bars again. If you haven’t heard of it you pick 3 snacks each day (either slimfast snacks or 3 pieces of fruit or veg or mixing both up) you then choose 2 meal replacements, either the slimmest shakes or bars and then you have 1 meal of 600 calories. All washed down with a minimum of 2 litres of water.
I must admit I am loving the meal replacements as I am terrible at missing breakfast altogether and at lunch time I am a terrible over eater being at home so having those times pre planned out and easy takes a massive load off.
I did struggle with the water aspect more than anything. Although I drink lots of water each day, when you are aware there needs to be a set amount drunk I don’t handle the pressure well.
I fear a long slog is on the cards but hey it took years to get myself in this state so I guess it’s only right that it’s going to take me forever to loose it too.
