It has been a while since I have updated on my fitness journey but with 2 bouts of tonsillitis and one throat infection under my belt since the new year it has been a hard weary road to climb.
I have struggled with the gym and have done a complete u-turn deciding in fact I hate it in favour of actually taking on a physical job for a few hours each day to increase my cardio and overall fitness.
The biggest change that has occurred over recent weeks is my ability to understand my own body, and listen to it. I have a passion for Yoga right now and am eagerly trying to improve my core strength and stamina instead.
I have decided that for my new found understanding of how to listen to my own body and make myself a physically stronger and more motivated person I deserve to not feel like a total frump in clothing. I guess I am never going to be comfortable in sports bras and stretchy lycra leggings but feeling comfortable and covered and still feeling a little bit trendy thrown in for good measure is something I have craved.
Recently I had the opportunity to discover a range of plus size sports and leisure clothing with Fashion World and I was really excited, finally a brand that understood at 5ft tall I need 27inch leg trousers … but with the stand ranges too there is something I guess for everyone.
Fashion World understood my plight for versatility and yet comfort and so sent me out the most amazing fitness clothing.
With comfortable yoga style jogging pants, lightweight roomy yet fashionable t-shirts, a quality hoody and even Adidas branded training shoes I was set to go and go I have …
Comfort wins through and with an outfit sorted its now time to focus on what matters and for me that is making sure I keep taking those baby steps to making myself fitter and healthier in my own way without the pressure.
I have come to the realisation that I need to love myself to be able to invest time in myself (no one wants to invest in themselves if not) so now I feel comfortable in my clothes and myself I am finally looking forward the future and being healthy and fit.
