If you have been reading the papers this week .. They are telling us that the Summer is set to start sooner than normal with a mini heat wave on its way this Easter Holiday .. So in preperation I am beginning to start getting the garden in shape for some serious outdoor play!
We were really excited when the fab team at Big Game Hunters asked us if we would like to try out their Giant Connect 4 Garden Game!
When it arrived I have to say I kind of expected the box to be bigger but on opening discovered that in fact it was really well packaged and had utilised every inch of space, which is a bonus in my book.
The structure comes in 8 pieces and then the yellow and red counters, and I have to say that the instructions are not the clearest (or should I say I am not good with written instructions and diagrams) So once I shelved the instructions I managed to put it together in less than 10 minutes and we were ready to play!
It was really lovely and sturdy although Joshua aged 3 here tends to need a little help to reach at the ends!
It brought back so many childhood memories for me, as we loved playing this so being able to share a bigger version with the kids is fantastic.
The counters can be stacked either on the ends or in the net bags that are provided and the pieces easily slip out of the bottoms when someone has won as there is a handle on each side that you pull and the bottom slides out allowing the counters to drop through the bottoms ready to play again.
We loved playing with this and I have no doubt that this game will be a key feature in our garden play from now on with its super sturdy structure I have no doubt it’s going to be with us a long time!
