While still pregnant with Jacob I had the pleasure of attending the Kind & Jugend trade show with Graco where they showcased some immensely beautiful and yet functional products.
I was introduced to their Milestone car seat that offered safety and security for travelling children from birth to 12 years old and we were really lucky to have reviewed it too along with the exciting Swivi booster seat but one of my favourite products I had not noticed in stores yet and certainly hadn’t seen it when I was looking to buy it for Jacob so I was excited to finally see it at the event last week and now it’s now on sale in the UK.
The Move With Me rocker/seat is a genius bit of kit with its 2 step folding mechanism, 2 position seat recline and an integrated carry handle (approved for carrying with baby in situ) along with toy bar, 2 speed vibration, 5 speed settings and melodies and sounds to soothe even the grumpiest tiny tot.
Graco’ s ethos has always been to support parents along the exciting, but yet daunting journey of parenting which was what the Baby Bootcamp event was all about. With hints and tips from Sarah Redshaw from Baby Centre who gave some great advice on what to expect in the early weeks after baby arrives. From managing expectations, bonding and feeding routines.
However my favourite section of the talk was on how to get organised in plenty of time before baby’s arrival. Sarah advises that carrying out some pre birth prep can help in the early weeks after birth. Things like setting up internet shopping, sorting movie subscriptions (for something to watch while undertaking long feeds) adjusting the bedroom lighting to have somewhere that remains dark but with enough light to continue to change nappies and feed without blaring lights and I couldn’t help nodding along with her that these were certainly things I wished I had done before Jacobs birth.
Along with information on the new i-Size car seat legislations and a chat from the Graco team on what to look for in a pushchair and the benefits of using a travel system.
During the event there were some fun activities for the smallest of people to take part in and Jacob I think fell in love with the Move With Me Rocker as I had … although buttons are his favourite.
Jacob also got to play in the sensory area with colour changing blocks and I even got to play with the Graco Evo pushchair while Jacob tried it out for a possible nap.
Thanks Graco for allowing me to refresh my knowledge of your products and for allowing both Jacob and I to play.
Thanks also to Hannah from Budding Smiles for allowing Jacob and I to tag along with them across London.
