Those of you that know me personally will know that however much I try I am not the crafty type, with fingers that go in the wrong direction and the patience of hormonal teen .. I have to say making things tends to not end well for me, which has been a shame as I love nothing more than homemade items.
However a while back I was contacted by a lady called Helen who is in fact a magician with a needle in my book.
Helen has a Folksy shop called Jack Be Nimble and also a Facebook page also names Jack Be Nimble that she shares her gift with others and hand crafts beautiful things to buy for those of us that will never be that craftily endowed!
Regular readers will know that in September Joshua will be heading to School and the journey of keeping his belongings on the right peg and with my child not discarded in another child’s bag will start and with the dread of heading to lost property weekly to retrieve my son’s items its imperative to do everything I can to make the whole process as painless as possible .. and for me that means standing out from the norm and personalised where possible.
Helen stepped in to help and has provided Joshua with his very first drawstring kit bag which is going to be ideal for hanging on his peg with his School PE kit in, with its roomy interior, quality workmanship and beautiful fabrics.
If you are looking for handcrafted textiles I can certainly say take a look at Jack Be Nimble, with an abundance of colour ways to choose from and Helen being so very approachable and passionate about what she does I can highly recommend having a chat with her if you’re looking for something specific!
