5, How did that happen?
It honestly does feel like yesterday that you came into my life, although that might be a slight lie since yesterday you were taking up my entire bed that you snook into while I was asleep, something you are doing fairly frequently.
You love climbing in besides me and singing to me or telling me stories of Super Mario brothers no matter what the time is, and insisting I listen is rather quirky but don’t be offended when I don’t listen at 4am.
This year you have really grown in so many ways.
You have become a really beautiful little boy, both inside and out, your baby blue eyes and infectiously cheeky smile melt my heart every time, even when you are pushing your luck and you know it.
In September you left nursery and started your School and I could not have been more proud of how you handled it, after a few initial tears in the first few weeks you grew to love the new routine and your classmates.
You now enjoy school and are thriving and excelling academically, you have friends coming out of your ears and it’s costing a small fortune on birthday presents for your classmates as you seem to be invited to every single party going, but how fantastic is that!
You have started swimming lessons and football coaching and have found an all round obsession with Super Mario Brothers in any form but particularly in the Bowser character …. Quite frankly it drives Mummy and Daddy nuts but it is so beautiful watching your enthusiasm.
This year you have also become a big brother, from the first moment you found out about your sibling in my tummy you looked after me, you kissed my belly, sang to bump and loved to sit for hours holding my tummy hoping to catch a movement or two.
It has been no exception since Jacob was born you hanker after holding his hand, holding him and you sing to him constantly and now he recognises you its been even more exciting for you.
You have made me so very proud and I can’t wait to see how you grow this year.
