Who is Lucy Watson and What is PETA I may hear you asking:
You’ll most likely remember Lucy from her Made in Chelsea days, now you will find her helping to fundraise and she also has her own make-up line.
PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, a non profit animals rights charity which helps to stop animal cruelty and testing on animals amongst other things.
The charity relies heavily upon donations which is why Lucy has set up a ‘money pot’ using the online fundraising site Leetchi.
You can watch this video to see why Lucy wants to help in raising £10,000
Lucy is not only a pet lover she actively tries to help raise awareness of doing our bit for caring for animals, she is a vegan and all of the items from Lucy’s make-up range are ethically made and sourced, none are tested on animals.
I may not wear a lot of make-up myself but the small collection I do have I try to ensure I know a little about the branding, where the products are from and how they are tested – after all animals don’t wear make-up so why do they need to test them before we use them? It just isn’t right!
You could win:
As an incentive to help raise awareness for Lucy’s campaign, if you share it using the hashtag #LWFundraiser then you could be in with a chance of winning prizes from Lucy’s line of cosmetics, Basic Bitch. The giveaway ends on 21st March and there will be three winners chosen at reandom from shares on either Twitter and Instagram.
Leetchi allows anyone to set up a ‘money post’ to raise funds online for any occasion or charity event – whether that is a wedding gift pot where you collectively club into buy a gift or to raise money for charity. It allows you to send the links to your friends and family easily by the click of a button – why not use this feature to share the campaign for your chance to win.
How to donate:
