If you have been following me for a while you will already know that firstly I am overweight and secondly I have just had a baby … all of which makes for a rather delicate ride back into fitness.
With a painful pelvis with SPD and back problems I made the wise decision to get back into fitness with walking, which enables me to take Jacob along too.
Hubs discovered mens Hi-Tec’s hiking boots a while back when we reviewed them and they have been his go to boots through the winter and even through summer when we have gone out walkings so I was thrilled to be able to try the women’s Hi-Tec V Lite Helvellyn Hiking Boots.
The boots are super stylish and come in brown leather with super squashy innards but the real test cames with actually wearing them!
The first trip out was the start of my love affair for these hiking boots as they were immensely comfy and I felt they put my feet into a comfortable position that my previous option (trainers) did not.
I have tested these beauties on concrete, mud, fields and sand and they have never let me down, the super deep grips on the bottom really help in keeping me upright and not slip even in the wet… which is no mean feat as if anyone is going to fall it tends to be me!
These boots were easy to tie up with the guides open on one side at the top and are super comfortable laced to the top or halfway, although I prefer mine laced to the top as they give extra support to my ankles.
If you are looking to invest there are lots of women’s hiking boots from Hi-Tec to choose from in lots of different styles but these are by far my favourites, super comfy, easy to clean and easy to pop on …
It may take me a while to shed this baby weight but at least every mile I walk will be done in comfort and style!
