With 20+ years of neglect it meant that the purchase price was lower than that of houses of the same standing as lots of money and even more hours were needed to even make it liveable.
When the house was chosen even though it would have been really easy to just see the decay, neglect and vile outdated wall coverings we looked past the cosmetics and looked at several other things such as the location, the room sizes and the options to extend if we want to!
During the last 6 years we really have taken the bull by the horns and have transformed the whole house, Although its been a slow process we have added new doors and windows, new boiler and bathroom, updated and decorated every room, gutted and ripped out the garden and started again with borders and grass and to top it off a new driveway was installed on the front garden allowing what was rated space and overgrown wilderness now house 2 cars safely off the road!
What I adore about this house is the possibilities are endless with possible loft extensions, or single or double extensions also an option on the back garden there really is lots of options for us to remain in this house pretty much forever.
So weather you’re looking for your forever house or you’re looking for a quick house sale for the property you no love here are some things to bare in mind ….
