How many times have you found yourself feeling as though you are stuck in a “rut”? It’s a feeling that is common for so many people, me included.
Waking up every single day and doing the same thing over and over and over….Can get a bit tiring for everyone involved. Where’s the excitement, the mystery, or the sense of adventure? As we get older, we tend to get into that cycle of “everyday” where we don’t allow ourselves to branch out and really explore the options that are out there. The good news? You hold the power to change that! And honestly, it’s good to shake it up every once in a while. Getting out of your “everyday” is the perfect way to clear your mind, and here are a few reasons why!
How just getting out of your “everyday” can clear your mind
- It welcomes a new perspective. If you never take a step outside of your comfort zone, how will you know what is waiting for you? Life is an adventure. It’s meant to be explored, embraced and welcomed with open arms but if you are consistently doing the exact same thing each and every single day, you may be letting certain aspects of adventure and amazement be passing you by! Try to take a few steps outside your comfort zone to embrace and welcome seeing the world in a different view.
- Your problems seem to be put on hold for a short time. When we are “stuck” in the cycle of our every day, day-to-day lives it can feel as though our problems and worries become quite circular and never seem to end. If you can step away and step out of those thoughts for a while, it can be a much-needed time to truly give yourself some clarity on what you should be focusing your time and energy on.
- New experience brings about new enjoyment. So many times, we just don’t allow ourselves to vary from the daily activities that we’ve become so accustomed to. Give yourself that permission! Take a walk on the wild side and allow yourself to start the day without a schedule set in stone or without a mile-long to-do list. While planning is important, it’s just as important to give yourself a bit of wiggle room as well to explore yourself and your inner-needs.
- Change can be a good thing! Trust me on this one! If you can add a little bit of change in your life, do so. You’ll never know if you like something or not if you don’t allow yourself to do something outside the ordinary. And while you may not have welcomed change in the past, welcome it now. Recently I made a change to retrain as a nail technician and I am thrilled I made that change!
Why not make a few changes to your “everyday” and clear your mind? Starting and exploring new journeys and paths can be a great way to open up new avenues and adventures in your life. You may be pleasantly surprised with all the new adventures out there just waiting for you to explore. Your “new” everyday may vary a bit from your current, but that’s part of the fun and excitement!
