If you have been round this neck of the woods for a while you will be fully aware that I am the first to admit I am nothing if not slightly crazy.
I go against the grain with regards to social media, my photos, posts and status updates are my real life, no shinny imitations that you find so often littering every social media channel there is.
Life juggling small children is hard enough without the added pressures of keeping up with what everyone else seems to be doing on social media. I want family time not stress and competition.
This year however with the birth of Baby Jacob I will be the first to admit my house is a tip, the ironing sits waiting to be flattened for weeks at a time and the kitchen floor is never quite gets as clean as I would have liked.
Lets be honest though, life just sometimes gets in the way.
With that in mind I have been immensely honoured to work with the team at AXA Insurance on their newest campaign that is going to keep me #OneStepAhead going forward into 2017.
Last year in my not so perfect world I had intended to be organised, and I had been doing spectacularly well until Jacob arrived and my world turned on upside down once it involved an awful lot less sleep.
So if I told you that I missed family member’s birthdays, forgot to MOT and insure one of our cars, ate too many takeaways, took the wrong child to the dentist and even left one of my friends waiting to meet me for lunch, while I completely forgot. You are not really going to be shocked are you?
As part of AXA Insurances #OneStepAhead campaign they are going to be sharing lots of tips and tricks on how we can all prepare for the new year and the challenges we face in our busy lives.
I for one am looking forward to some extra tips and tricks to help me gat back into control not just in the new year but beyond into 2017 too!
As part of this process I have been taking a long hard look at just exactly where it is that I am lacking and have come up with some of my own ideas on how I can be more organised for the coming year.
I am looking forward to 2017 and what it’s going to bring … andhere’s hoping for us the motivation to keep us #OneStepAhead so more of my time can be spent enjoying my family and spending quality time together.
I am going to bulk buy my birthday cards, write them out and pop the name and the date on the front.
I am going to keep my online calendar up to date to ensure that I have it to hand all the time.
And then I am going to add it onto The Oliver’s Master Plan onto the wall in the kitchen.
We are going to batch cook some of our weekly meals to ensure we have homemade meals to hand on those days that time has just slipped away from us on!
I am also going to plan in some family time to ensure that even when life gets chaotic I can still enjoy my family.
