I have had the privilege over the last few months of planting with some funky new style planters in the form of Lechuza Planters, the previous planter was for outside and Joshua and I filled it with our spring bulbs which are now in full bloom, which he throughly loved …. however with recently having a Caesarean section my love of gardening and planting have taken a back seat till we were sent some indoor pots to plant up.
I must admit that my ability to keep inside plants alive has always been slightly *cough cough* controversial and I normally start well and then end up killing them off in a few weeks through either over watering or under watering depending on my mood so with the ability to see when these pots need water I am hoping will help keep my new plants alive!
If you haven’t heard of Lechuza planters before these are self watering planters that come with the eye catching pots, stones/aggregates for the bottom and the water indicator to let you know when you need to water or when to fill with water to ensure optimal growing for your plants for inside to out and so I was hopeful of keeping at least these plants alive.
First off was to get in a green fingered 4 year old to help with my mission!
What I like about these posts is everything really is ready to go so once you have selected what plant to put in its just a case of a little soil and the aggregate and you have one plant in a funky and contemporary pot designed to keep your plants healthy and watered.
We have loved spending some time together planting in these planters and it’s only made me more excited at recovering fully so we can finally head out into the garden again … but of the interim at least I now have healthy plants in beautiful planters.
