This month has been a learning month.
This month we have been learning to deal with Jacobs temper tantrums.
This month Jacob has been learning to get his own way.
Independence is a great thing, when you are big enough to handle it, unfortunately Jacob still has lots of growing to do but its funny and equally infuriating watching him.
Food wise it has been a mixed bag for him. Some days he eats like a horse and wants to do it ALL himself. Other days he can’t be bothered and would love nothing more than for you to shovel in a few morsels while he spits them out and then cries for what seems like no apparent reason or just sticks his fingers in his ears.
For me this month can be summed up in one word: Brothers.
The bond between Joshua and Jacob has been nothing if not magical this month. With teething normally comes snot for Jacob and even though Joshua freaks out at his own runny nose he was first in line to stop play and wipe Jacobs nose when he needed it.
Add in the fact they are really starting to play together all be it a little disjointed way is great. Jacob likes to push Joshua on his Little Tikes ride on elephant while Joshua loves being pushed so it’s a win win.
What is frustrating for both boys is when they both want the same ball or toy. Joshua still doesn’t quite get the fact that Jacob doesn’t understand turn taking and Jacob would rather scream the place down and roll round on the floor than learn to turn take.
This month was the last month we saw Jacob with baby curls. Ollie put his foot down and booked in Jacobs first haircut so he had his lovely baby curls chopped and now he looks amazingly big! *sob*
However I must admit I am one of those annoying mums that means he will always be my baby regardless of hair length or age.
Next month I am hoping that we will hear a few more words, however he is obviously happy when he points and grunts so not sure if I am expecting too much or not but here’s hoping anyway.
