A year and a half! … How did that happen?
It only seems like last month that Jacob was born so how we can have a fully fledge toddler I have no idea.
This month Jacob has finally gone back to his night sleeping ways prior to his teeth cutting nightmare last month! He is now pretty much sleeping 12 hours a night again and I am feeling calmer and more focused to deal with his toddler meltdown.
Over the last couple of weeks Jacob has been embracing his inner comedian and is taking a real delight in doing anything that makes people laugh and then repeating it over and over again.
I have also gotten to see another first for Jacob and that’s him having a go on a balance bike for the first time. Which he LOVED! so much so on asking him to get off and have a drink he threw a tantrum and had a total meltdown.
I seriously think Jacob is going to be my outdoor kid. Not only is he loving being on a bike he also had his first ever camping trip and other than him getting upset at bedtime and not wanting to sleep in the travel cot he loved being wild and free in the camping field.
He thrived on being able to just walk, run and crawl anywhere anytime (obviously with adult eyes on him) he ate well, played well and hated coming back home so this boy is certainly going to be my outdoor wanderer I think!
This month I feel more than any before it that the baby aspect has now fully made way for the little boy in him. Even though he is still not very vocal he had developed an abundance of the character that he is to be and if I am honest I am not missing the ‘baby’ side as much as I thought. I am just loving getting to know this little boy who is here in his place.
