I am sure that summer months have literally passed by as I blinked? So has the last month in terms of Jacobs development.
Last month had been a really frustrating one with no real sleep routine and night-time cot parties. We thought he had turned a corner and then hadn’t.
I am pleased to report however, he has turned that corner for now. I can’t actually tell you just how grateful I am for that fact as sitting up through the night had destroyed me!
This month he finally seems to have started talking too. We knew he could say some words but had decided that he wasn’t going to use any of them. Instead he had decided to go down the point and grunt route, which had totally driven me insane.
He has decided he will now say Dada, Muma, Juice, Yes, Food and no.
Although these don’t sound exciting, to us we are over the moon to finally hear him communicate verbally with us.
We have also had the pleasure of seeing his a new loving side come to the surface. Previously he had been rather aware that he was very boisterous and rather rough.
Thankfully Jacob has fallen in love with a baby doll that he has decided is his child and he spends hours giving him loves and kisses and trying to put on his baby’s clothes. It’s so beautiful to see and be part of as he now likes to give kiss and cuddles to us now too.
Eating and feeding seem to have been better this month too. There has been a lot less food throwing and more passing of plates and bowls when he has finished.
All in all this month it has been a much calmer month and one that seems to have seen Jacob develop so much more than the last 2.
Now if only there was a pause button so I can enjoy this stage a little longer.
