I am not sure why but the last month seems to have been even quicker to finish than the last.
During the last 3 months there have been some amazing moments, this month has even seen the first to see him laugh, although whats funny is his body moves and his mouth but he makes no sound at all yet …its like someone has muted him.
This month we have had such extremes, after finally getting Jacobs reflux sorted and having a week being settled and getting into a routine it was thrown out the window when he picked up an upper respiratory tract infection that lead to mucus and lots of it … also meaning there was coughing, horrific body spasming coughing… which in turn lead to scary amount of puking … often at night all over me and my bed…
I can honestly say baby sick has never bothered me until this month when after a particularly bad bout of coughing and puking I was covered … it was so bad it was dripping down my top and running down my PJ bottoms and even soaking my pants … it was not the highlight of the month I can tell you.
This last week has thankfully seen Jacob become much better and although we have the odd cough it is nothing in comparison to the beginning of the month.
We have also turned a corner on the routine that now sees us all have a solid 6-7 hours sleep and then a bottom change and bottle of milk at between 4-4.30 am and Jacob will go back to sleep till around 7-8am meaning I can get so much done in the house including some tea prep (yes even at silly o’Clock!)
However on Monday night he slept through for 9 whole hours and on Tuesday night it was 8 1/2 hours …. Even though it might not last I am hopeful we might see it again soon, for the time being however I am more than happy with the chunks of sleep we are getting.
I have absolutely no doubt that this next month there will be more changes afoot as Jacob really is growing and changing at such an immense speed I blink and he is growing and learning at a rapid rate!
