Wow how can Jacob actually be half a year old?
This month has been an epic month, not content with sitting up like last month these last few weeks have been all about supported standing.
Jacobs all time love has been his new Jumperoo, he is like a child possessed once seated in it and squeals pretty much throughout the whole time he is in it!
Eating wise there is nothing pureed he won’t tackle and has a new love of chicken and vegetable curry (baby version) and banana and chocolate pudding!
He is doing so well with weaning that I have no doubt in the next month we will be trying to add a few chunks into his meals.
This month his once regular sleep pattern of 11-12 hours went out the window when heat rose and as temperatures rose to over 25 degrees and the use of the 1 tog sleeping bag made it impossible to put him in it at night we had several nights with him waking and crying. Although nothing stops him for long and with a purchase of a 0.5 tog sleeping bag we think we now have it cracked once more and know better than to take him to bed without a sleeping bag …ever!
One thing that has also been abundantly clear this month is this little fella has a cheeky character and seeks out your laughter all day … if you laugh he laughs and if you’re not laughing he is babbling louder as there is no stopping the vocalisation and raspberry blowing … even while eating!
This month another milestone achieved as on Friday 22nd July Jacob finally cut his first bottom tooth and as the slobber subsided his need to chew anything did not! I have no doubt his second bottom tooth will be with us soon!
Time really does need to slow down! My baby is ticking those baby milestones off at a rapid rate and I am not sure I actually like it!
