You may have noticed over the last few weeks we have had the pleasure of reviewing the beautiful Joolz Geo pushchair and although the posts have been predominantly about how we have found the Joolz Geo we haven’t really shared with you its stylish partner.
The Joolz brand are eager to make life with a little one so much easier with their well thought out pushchairs and stylish colour options but to make it all the more appealing to parents a travel system is where it’s all at.
Joolz have 2 out of 3 items needed to make a pushchair a travel system but not long ago they made it a hat trick to combine the ultimate ease of use and accessibility for parents with its new partnership with BeSafe.
As a brand that was already well-loved the iZi Go Modular i-size by BeSafe but filled it full of extra love and added in the super stylish materials from some of the Joolz range.
But the real question was … how was it in real life to use?
We were really lucky to be able to try out the Joolz iZi BeSafe Go Modular by BeSafe in the Elephant Grey colour option and on first sight it was beautifully eye-catching.
With its large sun hood and black trim it really is a stylish looking seat, teamed with the contrasting grey and with the tan handle it really does look good.
Talking of handles, I was really impressed with the Joolz iZi Go Modular’s parent handle its shaped ergonomically and for once its nice to discover they actually mean it.
So many infant car seats claim they are ergonomic but yet are painful and cumbersome to move baby in them but this one was great and not the least bit uncomfortable. Yes it was fairly heavy with Jacob in but thats because he is a tank and doing a comparison test with another brands infant seat we both preferred this one on carrying and weight.
Obviously we have been using the Joolz iZi Go Modular as part of a travel system and have teamed it up with the Joolz Geo in lobster read and have loved it for its was of use.
The car seat adaptors are easy to install and give a really solid feel to the whole thing once the car eat is fitted and the seat itself was really easy to click on and click off the chassis. However it is worth noting that these brackets have to be purchased as an additional extra when you purchase the Joolz pushchair.
Jolly iZi Go Modular by BeSafe is equipped with a large integrated sun shield with UPF 50+ and ventilation in the top of the hood, that protects your child from both the sun and wind and with the airflow panels in the hood its nice to know it all helps at keeping baby’s temperature more regulated.
I also loved the hood as it comes far lower over baby eyes than I have seen on some and it can be operated independently and isn’t attached to the carry handle so you can adjust how low or high you want it
Installation of the car seat in the car was another bonus for us, as it’s really simple to fit with a 3 point adult seat belt but also you can purchase the BeSafe iZi Modular I-Size Base that can be used in conjunction with the seat to make life a little bit more easier each time you travel with its click and go installation for the Joolz iZi Go Modular.
Disappointing for us was the fact we were only able to use the seat with the seatbelt installation fitting as we didn’t test the base out on this review. This also limited us to only being able to use this seat in one of our vehicles as the other has issues with buckle crunch and we can only use isofix car seat installation in that car.
We can only guesstimate that if the base works as well as the car seat I am sure it would be a great investment to use the 2 products together for a swifter and more fluid transition from car to out and about.
Overall we loved the car seat not only for its design but also for its ease of use and its well though through features.
