Over the summer I introduced you to the wonderful campaign by Bassetts Vitamins’ called Family Life with More Colour (#lifewithmorecolour) that is aiming to support real life in all its colour which has really resinated with me.
As part of this campaign I shared with you the truth about families post and last week an honest insight into my mad crazy household and have loved supporting this campaign as real life is not always perfect but it’s certainly colourful.
The last week of school holidays marked a massive moment in my life.
Since being diagnosed with some extreme low levels of Vitamin D and B12, along with low levels of other key nutrients and initially feeling very poorly and painful because of it.
My life with more colour moment finally happened.
I have been taking my Bassett’s Vitamins supplement and the last week of the holidays I felt so much better and so much so that fresh air and family time really has been the order of the day.
This week has been packed to the rafters with some amazing family days out in the great outdoors, starting with a wonderful picnic with friends Bank Holiday Monday that involved a play park, football, forests and sunshine.
A trip to the park with the boys as I watched my littlest boys smile on his first ever swing ride.
It was a lovely day out and one in which was much needed for me, it was great to get my heart rate up and to see the little folks meeting and playing and of course tackling a giant hill for a roll down.
And of course life cant get much better than when your eldest boy presents you with a ‘flower’ he picked himself for just being his Mummy.
We have also spent some time discovering our own back garden this week and have been sharing the colour indoors with our very own nature display after lacking in ideas we choose this one from the Bassetts website and recycled some of Jacobs baby food jars into some colourful displays for the kitchen window!
All of this activity in that last week would not have been possible without starting to feel like I had more energy. I know from my hospital trips and Dr’s visits that having low levels of vitamins and minerals have been the route-cause of my ill-health and although I have a long way to go in terms of getting all my health back to where is needs to be, having more energy has certainly brought more colour into my life.
If I am honest 6 months ago I would not have believed that having low levels of vitamins would make you feel unwell … until I traveled this road myself but from now on I won’t be underestimating even the little things when it comes to my health.
