It would be fair to say that in our house Mario and Sonic are widely used words and often emanating from Joshua.
However we have all been mentioning them of late, since we have all become somewhat excitable over the new release Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The game has a range of 30 playable Sonic and Mario characters along with the ability to play as your Mii all raring to play the 17 exciting events, however choose wisely for your characters as some are better at certain events than others.
There are several game play options with this game, the first is single player where you can play using the main Wii U controller and you play to try to win or you could even play multiplayer with a total of 4 players all competing against each other.
Each events background is modelled on the real life venues of the Rio Olympics and
Multiplayer mode has certainly been our most played version as Ollie and I have been trying to thrash Joshua and failing badly!
Although this game is marked as a Pegi 7 and Joshua is only 5 we have found nothing untoward but some of the events are very complex to play and so I can only assume that is why it’s marked as a Pegi 7.
Some of our most loved events have been table tennis, archery, javelin and BMX riding! the rhythmic dancing still has us all a little stumped but as the game itself is so addictive I have no doubt that we will have it cracked soon and then it will be just a case of trying to beat my personal best instead and that in itself is addictive!
This game has been one of our most played games in quite some time and the fact all 3 of us can play and love it makes it even nicer to all jump in and play, its one of the best all rounders we have plated for a while.
